Winebanc continues to expand into other key Asian markets | MONEY FM 89.3

StorHub Group CEO and Founder of Winebanc, Mike Hagbeck, was recently interviewed by MONEY FM 89.3 to talk about our specialised wine storage facilities under the Winebanc brand. He highlighted that Singapore has wine collectors who take their wine collection very seriously, and that the two main classes of people are those who buy wine for themselves and those who purchase for investment.

He shared that his family used to have a French restaurant in the Blue Mountains outside of Sydney that came with a cellar which offered less-than-ideal conditions for wine storage. When he first came to Singapore 20 years ago, he saw the demand for wine storage and noticed that Singapore’s climate stops people from storing at home, so he decided to start his own wine storage business.

Mike even has a wine display in Winebanc dedicated to his eclectic selection of fine wines. Some of his personal favourites are Australian reds, Sauvignon blanc, Pinot gris and sparkling wines. Lately, he has been having Tempranillo from Spain and Malbec from Argentina as he finds that they go well with food.

Winebanc offers conditions optimal for wine preservation and delectation, including the right lighting, temperature and humidity precision, and minimal vibration. Over the past 12 months, Winebanc has expanded and now has two facilities in Seoul, one in Hong Kong and one in Shanghai aside from our three facilities in Toa Payoh, Kallang and Delta House here in Singapore and our upcoming facility in Tokyo.
